On the first Saturday in October ladies 3s travelled to Maldon on a beautiful autumnal afternoon. After a quick chat from Captain Jen about getting some quick goals on the score sheet, we did what was asked and scored 2 goals in quick succession in the first 10-15 minutes of the game both by Cris who was in the right place at the right time (after numerous short corners). We were on fire!!!!
Paige had some lovely runs up the right hand side with her Martha and Jemima passing between them with ease and we dominated in their half for most of the match, Martha managed to slip one past the keeper before half time. 3-0 up at half time.

Not to become complacent we still pushed hard into second half with Maldon coming out fighting, however with some lovely hockey being played, Emily keeping the middle lively and Poppie/Shireen working it hard in defence on the occasional time they broke the half way line.
Chloe had a master stroke around the 40th minute with another excellent goal and most of the team having some more shots on goal (Shireen included!) Another excellent shot by Martha and we ended the game with a 5-0 win. Excellent play all round by everyone on the team with some beautiful hockey played.

Teas score 10/10 plus 100% for supplying excellent teas and a birthday sundae for Shireen.

MOM was highly contested (as everyone played so well) but in front came Martha - well done Martha you were on fire!!!!

Hot mess was myself for getting distracted by a beautiful dragon fly in the second half!!!
