Just a brief note to extend my thanks to all those who made it to the club on Sunday to help with club clean-up day. It was a tough ask, it being the last weekend of the holidays, the sun decidedly out and the weather scorchio, but a small yet committed group upped tools and set about getting the club ready for the season. So impressive was the effort I will name everyone in person- The Rapp family, the Jackson family, Brant Chapman, Dick Clark, Thommo, The Lyndsays, Steve Smith, Simon Richardson, the Woods, Darren Stoner and Will Harman are heroes the lot of them and you may wish to give them a nod nest time you see them. it was particularly heartening to see so many U18 members giving up their time to do their bit. The club was left looking great and ready for the new season. As we often proudly affirm, our facility is one of the best around and we are lucky to have it. Looking after it is a big but essential job. If we all chip in, the job of looking after it becomes that little bit easier.
The installation of baby changing facilities in the men’s and ladies’ toilets is now in process and will hopefully be completed for the start of league hockey.
The new look Commercial Committee is up and running and planning is already under way for the season’s social events. The dates will be shared once they are confirmed. The first event off the tank is club day hope to see you all there next Saturday.
I’ll be in touch again before the league game starts.
Go well.
